Based in Pamber Heath near Bainsgstoke and have now 2 old girls!
my trusty workhorse W211 E320 CDI Avantgarde in silver 2005 with 62K which i have had now for a couple of years and a recent indulgence R129 320 SL 1998 with 93K also in Silver with blue interior and hood.
E320 is in great condition and well looked after by Tony Purslow not much slower on the open road than its predecessor an Audi S4 but can do 40mpg at "legal speeds" on the motorway! (always amazed by that) and i love the old straight 6 diesel engine very smooth. Bought it needing a 7 seater for the school run in a hurry but could not face having another sad dad car (we also have a Touran enough said)
320SL last of the straight 6 engines again amazed that a 15 year old car drives like a 3-4 year old one. Everything works ! (except aerial) an honest car that was regularly used and now needs some TLC to bring it back to immaculate but thats my project! All i now need is summer to arrive!
im sure i will be asking many here for advice over the next years on keeping these girls running as modern euro boxes do nothing for me and sustainability is important to us!
