Hi All.
My name is Mark and as of yesterday I'm the proud pwner of a 1999 C250TD Sport auto estate, what a lovely car the mrec is.
A bit about myself, I'm 40 years old, have a wife and two kids,
my intersts are brewing biodiesel, fishing and car mechanics,
yes I'm another of those bio guy's that can now aford to run a merc :D

Hi welcome to the forum :thumb:

Hi Mark
Welcome to the forum

Hello and welcome to the forum.

May I ask what price per litre your bio fuel works out to?

Hi Fella
My bio works out at about 10p a liter, but does take up a lot of my time,
My wife does around 700 miles a week so I do have to make quite a lot of it.
The wife has got to have an op on her left foot soon so I had to get an auto diesel,
this was a good exucse to get the MB I've been after for ages :bannana:

Thanks for the worm welcome from you all,
I think I'm going to like this forum and the people on it.

Welcome Mark, from my 'alter-ego', glycer-rides.

I'm sure you'll enjoy running your motor on good quality homebrew B100, as many of us OM605 and OM606 owners currently do.

Hi mate.
Covered over 1,000 miles in it so far and I've only had it a few weeks,
all done on my home made bio (B100) and it loves it :D,
I'll probably need to replace the fuel filter and the O-rings in the lines soon but I have them sat in the car just in case.

welcome, fuel of satan but never mind ;) W202 is good though

I know your right of course, but when you spend 100 quid a week on DERV, getting it down to a tenner would make the world of difference :bannana:

Will it kill my '03 C220 with 116k though?

Its definately the best way if you wnt eco and nowadays performance too, even the old mercedes deisels shift. Thats pritty much all my old man drives. But for now im sticking to sweet sweet petrol :D

Good stuff. Did you get the bigger O ring for the stop solenoid plunger as well?
I'd be very surprised if you had an IP filter block. A clear 100 micron in-line mesh job is worth fitting before the tiny 'witches hat' pre-filter in the IP fuel filter housing.
