I'm Keerat. I've been a member since "just before" we picked up my Dad's facelift W211 280cdi brand new in 2007, and have occasionally visited the forum to absorb information. However, as the W211 has behaved over the years, I've not spent a lot of time here. Other than maintenance, the only two failures have been a gearbox speed sensor many years back, and recently a turbo actuator. The actuator was diagnosed and fixed by an independent Mercedes specialist (Choda Auto Services in Southall), who sent the turbo unit off to be refurbished at a fraction of the price of a new unit. We still have the car, in very good condition and it runs really nicely.
I've started browsing the forum recently as I'm likely to be picking up a 2013 C216 CL500 next week. Over the past month I've been absorbing info on the C216 from various sources, and thought I may as well post... especially as I'm likely to be visiting/contributing more often if the C216's reputation is anything to go by!
