hi there I have recently got a 1.4 a class, its my first merc, its a bit of a step back performance wise compared to what i am used to, ie a e36 m3 evo, 330i se focus st170 highly modded engine supercherger conversion etc and 304 bhp and 420 bhp pulsar gtir so getting a little 1.4 family car has to be done as i am now a family man.....i am over the moon with this little merc it drives lovely is smooth and quiet and comfortable and even though so compact has room for child seat etc, i got it in a cracking deal, i bought a 99 renault scenic 2.0 monaco, for £500 but hated the piece of crap so chucked it on ebay with a years mot and 6 monts tax, by time i had got the renault up togeter it stood me in at £680 which was not bad so i was willing to take £700 to get rid of it, then thislady who had bought the merc as her dream car lol a little red mercedes, she offered me a deal for the renault, the merc has a years mot and tax and 115k on the clock it is the avangarde model so has leather etc.she showed me the reciept she paid £1895 for the mercedes in august from a indy dealer so i happily swapped. she was happy as she now can now fit her 3 car seats in her car. im happy as a pig in **** to.
i insured the merc for £400fully comp which is good for me as i am 25 and have 4 years no claims i also drive for a living, i then thought i would get a quote to add my better half to ther insurance, charllotte is 22 and has a provisional license by adding her to my insurance fully comp it dropped to £350 so i bought some l plates and took her on her first driving lesson.......im happy so far with my merc ownership
