Hi all,

My name is Alex and i'm on the lookout for a CL55 AMG Kompressor. I normally drive Japanese turbo cars and have an R33 GTR as my 'toy' but fancied something a bit more refined with plenty of grunt when needed.

I know of all the ABC issues so once i bought the car i will be buying some Yellow Speed coilovers to replace it when it fails. I will be doing all the work myself so it will save me a few pennies. I am used to cars with stiff suspension so although removing the ABC will probably make it slightly stiffer i dont think it will get to bad.

Thanks! And it certainly is a great car. One i hope to keep for the rest of my life, it is the 3rd Skyline i have owned and have spent an absolute fortune on it.

Hi Alex, I'm on the lookout for a CL55 Kompressor too... Have a read on the American forums, afew people converted to coilovers over there and massively regretted it! The CL is a really heavy car!

Each to their own but I think you might regret switching to COs.

These kind of Mercs need air which makes up part of the magic of owning one.
