Hid conversion issues

Hi all, thought I'd improve my c180's poor headlights with 5k hid upgrade. On all the other cars I've done this to, I have had no issues, but the merc is causing me headaches!!
I bought a canbus kit that has worked well on other vehicles, but not this time so also purchased a decoder/error fix harness, but they still refuse to work?? They worked on the day I put them in,but after a night to think about it the merc is giving me no light.
Any suggestions?

Where did you get your HIDs from? I hear even canbus Error Free Kits can still cause errors on Mercedes System.

Also Try HIDS-DIRECT there Canbus kits are ment to be great.

I got them from hid direct, I had them tested yesterday turns out both ballasts are blown, still awaiting on an email from hid direct.......

HIDS DIRECT are usually very good, I can imagine a new kit being issued on return of the faulty kit !!!!

Are you replacing the entire headlamp units?

What are your plans with headlamp washers and self levelling?

As with anybody who fits HIDs I don't think there is any plans to fit Headlamp washers and self levelling as it's too expensive. As long as he sticks to 5000k it will have that OE Look and should be ok with the police and will have to look for a lenient MOT Tester !!!!

I think you need to hint LOUDER... scatter the post with dazzling insight into the rights and wrongs of HID fitment.

Ok I'll bite.

Poorly implemented aftermarket HIDs are downright antisocial. They allow others to tell from a distance that the driver an ignoramous.

Fit them properly with correct lenses, reflector and self levelling or forget the idea entirely.
