High beam not working

Hi all I have a Vaneo 1.7 2003. The problem I have is the main beam is not working. I have checked the fuse all fine changed the stalk with a new one and still not working when pushed forward even the dash light does not come on but if you pull it back the light comes on and the main beam comes on. I hope someone can help as need the car doing for MOT.

Do you have auto-lights? Do the dipped beams come on? Are you testing during daylight?

Hi Do not have auto lights. All other lights work fine dip beam, side lights and even curtesy light works.
