04, it will be galvanised :D

From the pics it looks in good condition, but airmatic suspension, is that a luxury that could break with ££ consquences.

All W/V220 s-classes have airmatic as standard. Nothing is cheap on an s-class if it breaks, but a good warranty ought to cover it (mine does) for peace of mind.

They give you that but not the parking sensors

On the lesser MB's (like my W211) it was a cost option. I'd be happy to have an airmatic car as people who have it on W211 say its excellent.

My previous two had a silimilar system, and it always worked. However I saw an X5 where it had collapsed and the rear of the car was nearly on the ground  I felt so sorry for the owner.

Airmatic is a fundamentally different type of suspension and the ride quality is just excellent, so it makes sense for the flagship model to have it as standard.

Parktronic is standard on a LWB model.

How does armatic differ from the ABC set up in the R230 SL. I may start a separate thread nearer the time as my old man is considering a used SL, and wants the model with the best ride.

ABC is active body control = a hydralic system which pretty much eliminates body roll. VERY expensive to fix but a brilliant system and very clever.

Its a ugly looking traffic master system!!!
