Hi all.
Another problem with my W210 E320 CDI
I have just noticed some diesel spray from the front of the engine and on closer look the high pressure pump is leaking quite bad.

The previous owner claimed his garage did replace the o rings , but i dont think so now as it is leaking , it did leak few days after i bought it but i thought it might be some remnants of diesel after the repair so i cleaned it , it didn't leak for a few weeks now it is leaking again.

Any advice?
Thanks

I need to remove the clutch fan and cowl by the looks of it, anyone knows how to remove these as there seems to be no way to remove the high pressure pump without removing the above bits

Removed the shroud but the clutch fan isnt coming off as i cant seem to lock the water pump pulley, i tried pushing against the belt with a bar to hold it in place but it still moves.

Apparently needs a special tool as per wis a613589014000 but cant find it online,
Is there any other way to rekore the damn fan or anyone that can rent me the proper tool?

Alternatively, remove the 3 hex head bolts and take the fan off the clutch which will give you the room.
But not blood-free knuckles...
You may need to cut the hex key down, if things are as tight as on the E class.

Unfortunately the allen bolts on the fan are rusted and hard to get the 5mm allen in

Is there anyway to remove the whole clutch fan?

I managed to get the clutch fan off in the end, if anyone needs the info i im ready to help.
However doing that job revealed few other jobs that need doing, water pump has very slight play, tensioner pulley is knackered and the deflection pulleys have play in them and new v belt needed as the old one was swimming in diesel
