not that good at explaining these things, but ive noticed me car,,220cdi.01 reg..130,000..miles.seems to be over reving and vibrating at traffic lights etc, noticed today on the bumber black stuff fro the exhaust, does it need tuning.still havent solved me 1570 fault coce, apparently its the boost pressure to high, maf changed, sensor switch changed, ive given up how far and how much can you go till problrem solved, triptronic iswhat ill use, cant afford this change that, this shiiiiiittt,anymore..

does itneed tuning/i aint no mechanic.just want to no why it not ticking over smoothly at standstill.

You need to check the injectors and make sure they#re not leaking. This will cause the excessive boost fault code. Otherwise check the rail pressure sensor.

With regards to the black smoke, you're probably looking at a faulty EGR valve.

Faulty EGR could also be due to the lack of power too.

Does the vibration happen only a couple of minutes into a journey from a cold start? Does the vibration usually pass, but then when you pull away the revs seem higher than normal?

Based on what you describe I reckon you need an Automatic Transmission Fluid change. How many miles has your car done, and has the ATF ever been changed?

By the way the ATF change wouldn't cure the other fault code or soot build up - sounds like EGR to me too.
