Just priced up a CLS500 with the thought of Part Exchanging Two of my cars.
Anyone got any thoughts on this

CLS £18750 62000 miles on a 55 Reg

They have offered £4500 for my Black Golf TDi SE 04 mk5 96k miles and £4500 for my CLK 320 Convertible Avantgarde X 2001 106k miles.

Leaving a balance to pay of £9250

I think I can get more for the two cars privately so will probably go down that route, or am I dreaming?

£4500 for that Golf sounds good. Try to get a bit more for that CLK ...well at least £5500.

Ps. I wouldn`t pay £ 18750 for a 55 CLS. I`d rather spend £21k for a 56 CLS with 40k miles. Isn`t it worth the push ?

The CLS is a nice car imo, but is very large & long; as big as an E-class estate, but without the load space
The CLS has had 1 or 2 facelifts, so go for the most recent you can?
You will need to look into the differences between facelifts though as I am not familiar with them!

Now you wouldn't happen to be the salesman I spoke to earlier trying to sell me exactly that.....Tansanite Blue CLS320cdi at the same garage as the 500CLS???

I already have an S211 320cdi (Which I am keeping)but the GF loves the shape of the CLS as do I, I havent yet told her about the 5 litre V8 bit......She wont notice...will she

£4.5k for the golf would be harsh. Sell it privately within a week for at least £1000 more.
