Hobbies - What's Your Pleasure?

Just wondering what we do for a pleasurable pastime?

Not the mainstream family stuff that we probably all do, but stuff that floats your boat during your recreational hours.

Me, well it's this car thing - I enjoy my AMG to the point where it's become a pastime to drive it hither and thither to various events, whilst keeping it maintained and clean in the interim. Even the prospect of a day with ChrisA doesn't put me off, so I must enjoy it .

Secondly, I spend a lot of time as a driver, roadie and guitar tech for my son as we head out to gigs he's playing at - something I never expected to be doing a few years ago, but actually it's great fun (except for some very late nights ).

Food.

Cooking, eating, talking, watching on TV and visiting good restaurants.

Oh, and wine of course.

And of course, driving the CLS whenever, wherever for whatever reason...

Playing with my motorcyles x 4 , gym almost every day to keep the old ticker ticking for as long as possible and only recently - dog walking with my new best bud : Buster : when i can get him wakened as he is a lazy sod.

Have been riding Bmx bikes and skateboarding for the past 20 years ( I'm 32 now ) and still going hard at it!!! Love home cooking and my tunes. Will have to get some pics up sometimes, but most of all my 2 young daughters (2 & 5), absolute little darlings love them to bits

Guitars, both playing and collecting, a number of Les Pauls to name a few in my hoard. Compact (audio) Cassette and DAT for both collecting and recording and finally, fishing. I got a dog but she walks me so I cant really call that a hobby.

I do a few 'mainstream' things that have already been mentioned and one that could be in that thread (sic) about embarrassing things….machine sewing. Hoping to do a course on tailoring at some stage in the near future.

There's no dispute in our house that I'm a better at machine sewing than than my wife. She of course is better with hand sewing.

I made a tent at the age of 14 and have been doing it ever since. Just basic stuff though, nothing fancy.
