How A Brand New Car May Not Be So Perfect.

Yea, every owner is a paint specialist these days, if he didn't check all that and everything else on the car then tough. I mean, what right does he have to expect a new car in any case - doesn't he know it has to come from Germany and there's bound to be damage. You just can't reason with some people. :):)

When we picked up my daughter's silver VW Golf, it was in the showroom to be collected and I was going over the paintwork and the salesman said "I'm glad you're not picking up a black one - they come with scratches in the paint".

I said "you mean swirl marks, created by your valeters?". He said "no, they're IN the paint from the factory". He then showed me a black car in the showroom - a complete mass of swirls. Looked like someone had been ice-skating on it.

:wallbash:

...That's what you get for not choosing a Mercedes![/

On the contrary, you have to be just as careful checking it over. There can be imperfections just any other make.

I know.

I've seen and had to fix pre delivery damage to many different brands, Merc included. Mainly damage to alloys from car transporters and the fact that cars tend to be kicking around the car parks and componds at dealers for 2 or 3 weeks before customer picks the cars up. You'd be surprised how many tailgates ive had to paint on brand new cars from mechanics slipping with a screwdriver putting the new registration plates on..

Hi guys,

Been vwery busy with other large detailing work, but thought I would put up some pictures of the finished article. Took 5 days to complete and one very happy customer in the end:
