Yea, every owner is a paint specialist these days, if he didn't check all that and everything else on the car then tough. I mean, what right does he have to expect a new car in any case - doesn't he know it has to come from Germany and there's bound to be damage. You just can't reason with some people.![]()
When we picked up my daughter's silver VW Golf, it was in the showroom to be collected and I was going over the paintwork and the salesman said "I'm glad you're not picking up a black one - they come with scratches in the paint".
I said "you mean swirl marks, created by your valeters?". He said "no, they're IN the paint from the factory". He then showed me a black car in the showroom - a complete mass of swirls. Looked like someone had been ice-skating on it.
