Hi all,
I want to buy original floor mats for my W124,local dealer told me factory doesn't support old models,is this true?
Second,I'm really confused between rubber floor mats and the other velour ones, which is better? I heard there are color coded rubber floor mats,is this true ?
Thanks

Euro Car Parts, KMS in Birmingham, GSF Parts etc all keep them.. Not original original but very good quality.. only other option is ebay.

If you can find the part number on web and give it to your dealer in Kuwait I am sure he can find it for you. Is it a Mercedes main dealer ?

I do not see why Kuwait is any different to any other country in the world that has Merc main dealers - they should all be able to source any Merc part that is still being produced and mats for 124 are on the computer.

See if there is a Mercedes owners club in Kuwait (that is offically recognised by Mercedes) and speak to them about parts.

There are about 60 officially recognised Mercedes owners clubs in the world.

The original front & rear W124 rubber mats are NLA. The velour carpet mats are still available at some dealers but I think I've bought most of them. The last ones I bought were manufactured in the UK and weren't quite as good as the original German ones. They will be NLA very soon

MB cut-to-fit generic front rubber mats are still available

If anyone has a source of supply of good replica carpet mats, or any old stock tucked away, please let me know

You are right Tony,Kuwait has LHD ,and so the rest of middle eastern countries.
Bolide, yes he is the main dealer here, they told me W124 mats are not produced any more!!!!!!,also the W140!!!!!
What do you mean by 'NLA'? do you mean 'not available'?
I have contacted Inchcape and they told me:sorry we supply UK only.
What is 'MB cut-to-fit generic front rubber mats'?
Are all rubber mats black?
I was shocked when I went to the main dealer last time to ask for the mats,I asked for the front brake pads ,the prices were doubled!!!!!I asked why? they said: the Euro is getting high!!!!!!!!
Now the Japanese and American car drivers are enjoying their cheap spareparts
I have contacted an American company 'www.slaccessories.com',they have good quality mats and colored rubber mats (suits your car interior),the price is 79$ and shipment cost 175$ (by FedEx) !!!!!
I was reading the pdf file I posted earlier (in favourites section) about W211,W210 and W124 accessories, here is what I got and gave to main dealer:
· Rubber floor mats (B6 668 8213) (heel protectant)
· Exclusive rep mats (cream-beige B6 630 9075),( Safran B6 635 9134)
· Front seat covers, set of two Match,
mushroom (B6 642 0425)
Also I asked for sheep skin seat covers.
all were rejected by the dealer as not any more.

Are W124 saloon, coupe & cabriolet floor mats the same & interchangeable?

Are W124 saloon, coupe & cabriolet floor mats the same & interchangeable?
The fronts should be the same but the coupe and cab are shorter than the saloon, the space being reduced for the back seats which I think should (but not sure) make the rear mats smaller.

I need a set in Mushroom for the CE, but Im going to get a tailored set.

Shall i let you guys in on a little secret

The Brabus W124 mats and the Brabus W140 mats have exactly the same part number. My Brabus W124 mats fit the W140 perfectly and i know a guy who has a W124 500e with W140 Brabus Mats that fit perfectly.

I'm pretty sure if the Brabus ones fit then the W140 S Class mats will fit fine.

Donations via paypal please :D

KMS matts turned up. They are not ribbed but seem of decent quality. Prefer the light grey originals but these will do for now - at least they're not knackered.
