Old versions of DAS had this functionality (to enable/disable tv on the move) for comand 2.0 . Does anyone remember which version was the last one having this feature? New DAS versions have this feature removed for obvious reasons. Thank you :)

There are a number of COMAND models which have no menu for the activation of TV at higher speeds.

What I mean is not the comand built-in menu but the DAS comand coding menu. Someone told me that some old versions of DAS allow you to enable tv/video on the move. From the time I flash upgraded the comand firmare with the MY2001 firmware cd, I cannot watch tv anymore on the move. A few of the new DAS version I tried do not have this activation option. Therefore I just need to know which old version of DAS will allow me to change this.

Go back about 4 years for COMAND 2 ability to set this in normal DAS. After that the menu setting was there (with the 4 interlocks), but it ignored you trying to switch off the moving one.

Thank you very much richard for the reply. If you find any more information regarding which old version of DAS (four years ago) would do the trick, please let me know. Thank you once again.

Why not simply pay someone to do it for you ? Or is that against your religion.

I don't know anyone in my area. Do you want to do it Miro? If you want I invite you for a coffee and a meal to UK!. Free accomodation as well :p

Is it against you religion Miro to give a straight answer and contribute to the public knowledge? If I already have the proper diagnostic equipment whats the point of unecessarily wasting time and money stripping out my car to remove the comand, pay postage (send and return), send it to someone else you dont know with the risk of them swapping parts out of your precious comand or never returning back the comand and pay someone to do it when it is much simpler to do it yourself? :)

I think they are many people on this forum that would prefer to know how to do it themselves rather than paying someone else.

Think about it! If this was your response ("pay someone else to do it") to everyone that asks a question how to retrofit or modify something, this forum would not exist.

If you know which version of DAS does it, you might as well tell us. ;)

Sell your diagnostic to Alfie and I promise I will tell him everything.

Miro,,,

If you were in the uk and didnt want to disclose such info i might have reasoned with you for one reason or another, but your in ozzie land dude therefor taking trade away from you is not a factor.

My advice is if you dont want to contribute/help another forum member then dont reply, rather than I know but i'm not telling you.

Take a chill pill mate ffs.

Why the heck does he even reply on these forums?
He never gives a straight answer and just ends up steering the threads in the wrong direction

When a complete novice acquires extremely powerful equipment for the evaluation of two cars and then fails to understand its basic operation or the subtle features then it hardly falls onto the forum or my shoulders to circumvent that misunderstanding.

As I have not misinformed anyone I dont feel your angst in any way.

Oh ... Perdi's long lost cousin and spiritual twin.

I think it took you about 8 months to believe what we told you about LCD monitors and the W211 head unit. It only took the forum and myself about 15 seconds to determine it wasnt possible.

What is this forum, the last refuge of the oblivious ?

Well there he goes steering the thread in the wrong direction again.
You've got a real attitude problem mate. If you don’t want to contribute with your experience and knowledge then simply don't reply. Oh, and btw, your 15 sec "Not Possible" answer was actually not correct. It was possible.

You've got a real attitude problem mate.

I would agree with that, something not right about him. However, I think you're just reinforcing his behaviour by paying any attention to it. Ignoring is usually the best option when confronted with those seeking attention :D

He's also not doing his business any favours by showing this attitude in a public forum where potential customers might lurk, but hey, it's a free country! :D

Ultimately its not going to have any effect on your business by giving the man his answer. He has chosen to spend the cash on the DAS and its not up to you to decide what he is and is not allowed to do with it if he breaks the unit / the car then thats his problem not yours so why don't you just play nice and cough up the answer hey if you feel it would be disastrous to give up this information its very easy to simply stay quiet you know that way you stop yourself looking like an idiot.

perdikoyla888 i concur with MBTECHNICIAN 06/2003 will do the trick.

As I said many weeks ago it is still possible on 02-2007. So why should I agree with all the wounded souls that tell me I am wrong. Clearly the problem is with the operator not knowing how to use DAS.
