How to sell a car

Hello all, this might seem like an odd one, but I've not sold a car for years, so am wondering now how best to sell a car? I'm going to be changing cars within the next few months or so. I'm thinking of selling my E270 now, but am aware that most of the popular places are often dogged by people getting scam emails ect. I don't want much for it as it has a scrape up the door which someone kindly did for me, plus a few other imperfections, so really just thinking if it's too much hassle, I'll probably scrap it as it's not worth a lot now. Wondering what people might do? Thanks.

I sold my w212 to a guy who exported it to Albania, if you want I can give you his number and you can WhatsApp him and see if he would want to buy it? He sent a lorry and they paid up no issues.

Yeah I could test the forum I suppose and see what happens. It's a nice car to drive still, just someone's pinched the badge, someone put a scrape in the door with their car, but the interior is good, it's a nice drive, all the gadgets work, good tyres etc. I've had it 6 years? I'm not looking for anything silly for it really....

Don't know, looking online, prices vary around £3k ish, so I'm thinking, I dunno for a forum member and given the scrape on the door, sod it £1.5k?

My ALFA has been on eBay and Gumtree for 24 hrs....no fraudulent messages or phone calls so far......but also no legitimate ones!!!.......but its early doors!! Never had issues on eBay before and sold a few cars on there using their classified ad scheme which seems better value than AT. A month on eBay is cheaper than 2 weeks on AT, even at ATs basic level of advert. Never used Gumtree before.....but as its free I thought why not?
