Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to connect up my in-dash 6cd player to my comand 20 head unit? I have a 55 plate W211 320cdi estate.

Thanks

You need
a) fibre optics x 2
b) power loom
c) screws and clips (for mounting the cdc into the drawer)
d) fibre joiner
e) a bit of sticky felt to hold the cabling out the way

- a kit is available here
http://www.comandonline.co.uk/product.php?productid=16202&cat=267&page=1

The fibre has to be in a loop, from the 'out' of the comand to the in of the CD onward (so you remove the 'out' fibre from the plug in the comand head unit, and connect it to the out of the CDC using the joiner, and plug the in of the CDC into the hole left in the connector when you removed the fibre.

The power is then routed with 'ground' to a suitable ground (passenger footwell), the pink wakeup to the wakeup distributor, in the passenger footwell duct, and the power lead plugs into the fusebox under panel at end of dashboard on drivers side. Wiring can be stuck to inside of dashboard with the sticky felt

1 piece of advise, open the CDC drawer and unplug the power connector below (visible when the ashtray is removed), so that the drawer is open when you remove it - makes it a lot easier to install the CD changer !!

Thanks Richard. I'll give it a go.
