Well today I collected my W211 facelift E220cdi from the dealer. :bannana:

What a great drive home especially after waiting over 25yrs to finally buy a merc, not new I know, but everyone got start somewhere.

Weird, but I actually feel calmer in the car more than any other car I have driven, not bothered about rushing home, just relaxed & enjoyed the drive. Never had that with any car I bought before..must be the armchair feel, just missing a cup of real english tea on the way home to complete the feel.

To my wife's dismay or maybe happiness, I may sleep in the garage tonight!!

Have posted pics in a gallery, but one pic here cause I got ask a question of my experienced peers...

On the data card it said it had a phone kit from the factory & the below pic is in the centre console. I am presuming it is where I plug an adapter in, but could someone tell me what kind I need please...

Thanks & regards

Kris (happy chappy)

det er ikke bare for bluetooth, du kan plugge i en telefonspesifikk holder slik at den lader telefonen også. holde et øye på ebay for en god handel

Akkurat

That is not an accident, it's designed into E and S class Mercs.

Mercedes used to advertise the S class made the drivers heart beat 7Bpm slower then a BMW 7-series.

I recently gave my old W210 away and the feedback from the new driver is they really like it as a car and never feel tired after a journey.

Tusen takk for informasjonen.

(Any specific bluetooth adapter I need to look for. I want to stream music from my phone to the car or is that just via the audio system?)

I assume you are 25 years old, plus a couple of days then?

The UHI connector is not good for any audio streaming, it is designed for telephone bandwidth audio anyway.

Some ViseeO adapters accept BT audio streaming from a phone but then forward the audio signal via FM radio to the car. Even this is not full BW and has some other issues.

Which head unit do you have? If you had an AUX connector, you could purchase a BT adapter to stream audio via that AUX interface. Unfortunately this would not give any control for the audio source from the steering wheel or your head unit.

En Viseeo adapter gjør at du kan koble til flere telefoner og streame musikk. Jeg personlig foretrekker en vugge, slik at telefonen holdes på plass, og en bluetooth-mottaker som plugges inn i 3,5 mm-kontakten.

Yes I am 25 plus tax!!! like it...

I have an audio 50, no cd changer, so need to get one of those, hope its just plug & play. I may also change the audio 50 for another unit, & just use the UHI for a ViseeO .

Thanks for the tips.
