I need my COMAND configured for IC

Hi all,

It's been a while. Working hard to pay for the amazing car I can't afford!

I have installed COMAND on my w204. All working fine. The car also has DAB.

Is there anyone, anywhere between Swindon and West London that can set up the IC and configure the DAB with the new head unit? I'm willing to pay. MB quoted me £120 today. I figure someone must be able to do it for less?!

Actually thats a good price because to do it properly the delaer needs to have your datacard updated with option code 512 (assuming its a changer comand you installed). Then they need to SCN code the comand and the instrument cluster.

Now, the problems you have are, did you fit the fans and ducting when you did the retrofit? If not, I urge you to do so as they are needed to keep the comand cool. If you dont fit them then you risk overheating, damage and possibly fire. The other problem you have is that Mercedes dealers are not allowed to have datacards updated unless they themselves did the retrofit with their parts! This means you are highly unlikely to have them do it. So if they say they can and will for £120 then take it!

comand.co.uk wont do it for you either im afraid as we didnt install the unit and therefore cannot put our name to the datacard update. Sorry.
