i phone 4 cradle

hi i have a 2006 w211 e class and up until i put my i phone 4 through the washing machine the phone paired with car and worked fine.I now have a nice new i phone 4 that will not pair with the car. Orange my network supplier have tried another handset and apple have wiped the phone and re programed it. ive been to my local merc dealer for help and the tech paired his old i phone 4 staight away with the car. Help !!!!!

If you have gone from a 4 to 4s your iphone 4 cradle needs a firmware update.

no previous phone and new phone both i phone 4 there lies the problem

Look at the versions of IOS you are / were using. Maybe restore the old phone backup to the new phone and try that

thanks for the help and advise but i have spoken to comand online and it would appear the the i phone software has moved on although the phone model stays the same.i have sent the cradle to comand online for an upgrade which i beleive will allow me to pair the cradle with the 4 or 4s thanks all
