I won a steering wheel the other day, following on from the red monstrosity i posted in another thread .....

Won it for £35 , they are £92.00 + VAT from GSF and into the hundreds from other sites... its virtually brand new too !! :bannana:

Before anyone says , i know its not OEM, and i prefer OEM too, but just can't afford one at the moment and my wheel is looking tired ...

Need to get a boss for it from GSF, but will try and get it on for the RT GTG !!

What do you think boys and girls ?

perhaps if you had waited for a few weeks i am getting my hands on a couple of genuine merc wheels in wood and leather. you'll probably find as i did with most non oem wheels is that they are too short in diameter, normally 36cm where as the factory fitted ones are 39cm. this means that when fitted you will be not able to read the top of the speedo as the wheel blocks it but hey each to their own and it does look nice.

More.... Where you getting them from? I'm after one too but find they are rather pricey. Also need a new replacement manual gear knob as believe it or not I have managed to break mine in half???

Thanks Faisal, but as i stated i can't afford £170 ish, which i believe the reserve was on this wheel you have just sold , i would assume any further ones to have roughly the same reserve which is too much for me ....

They are sold by GSF, primarily for Mercedes, as you state, this is 350mm in diameter, and i can't see the 60-100 mph markers on my speedo anyway, so i'm not particularly bothered ....

Thanks for the advice though....

im getting them direct from germany, its surprising how a bit of charisma goes along way but your right they are pricey but authentic merc wheels. last wheel went for £175 which i think is a bargain but i'll see if i can get my hands on some wooden gearknobs.
anyone willing to make make a decent offer on this wheel, its got a few scratches on one side, nothing too noticeable and it comes complete with the boss aswell. if not i shall ebay it but heres a library pic. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/mercedes-benz...996540356QQcategoryZ40195QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Exactly, it is a bargain to someone who has that sort of money to spend on a wheel, but thats not me.....

I dont really understand about your piece on 'charisma', but i imagine its a jibe at me , so i'll let it pass. as i'm not into arguing with new members.

Good luck with the sales...

thanks howard, its not a jibe at you. i was talking about the person in germany who was overcome by my charisma hence i negotiate deals with him on the phone and he always accepts but seriously howard, thats a really nice motor you have and i just personally feel a wood/leather wheel look better in your car. i know money is tight but its just a personal opinion, nothing more.
