560 SEC - W124 320 CAB
I'm a huge car and driving fan, started as a lot do, thinking I could drive after some years in go-karting. I started to make some money and first decent car i purchased was an early E46 318i which i owned for a few months before my parents pretty much held a gun to my head and told it was to go and they had found a bungalow for me to buy! After that i was running around in a £300 vw polo until something split and was unrepairable, as my wages were going all on a bungalow i didnt live in and was empty at the time i had to take finance on a 50cc scooter. My parents finally took pity on me when i explained during my 6am run to work in winter i'd melted my gloves on the way as i used to hold the exhaust at traffic lights to warm my hands up they bought me another duff fiat punto. After 3 more years of crap cars and walking into a garage opposite me looking at a Lotus Elise telling myself that once that bloody bungalow was gone im buying one of these i finally started making enough to stop worrying about the bungalow and after all that time wanting an elise..... i went and bought a 2 year old SLK230!!!! After than in fairly quick succession I owned a
Boxster S
BMW 645 CAB
Porsche 997 C2s
Audi A3 2.0 TDi
Aston Martin AMV8/Range Rover Sport/Porsche 968 Clubsport
Porsche 997 GT3
Then i start to forget the order
Ferrari 430 Cab/BMW M3 CSL
First Caterham Race car(started racing in 2011)
Porsche Cayenne Turbo(old)
Ferrari 430 Scud
Porsche Cayenne(4.4 Diesel)
Range Rover Sport
Porsche 993 C2S
Audi A3 2.0TDI
(race car - caterham R300 seq box - shared with pals)
Range Rover Sport/Porsche Turbo/ race car Formula Ford post 89(sold after one season - i like winning)
Race Caterham duratec 1600

And then after some lengthy chats with my uncle who collects and sells all types of Mercedes he told me about a few to look out for and mentioned there was a rather good specialist here in the town i've been living in for 14 years. So I went to see Colin Fearns, literally a few minutes walk from my home. What can i say, top guy - good team, all friendly, i like the workshop and sounds like he can peddle too which i appreciate, might even see if he wants a spin in my race Car(per his own words he's known to swap paint) which is standard in Caterham series so he will fit right in. I ended up buying his very own 560 SEC and they're freshening it up for me as we speak. Yesterday I went and collected a dark grey W124 320 Cab too, it needs a bit of work, I'd say the garage i bought it from had a good working relationship with the mot centre as the rear brakes bind after 3 miles and the window wipers were not working, it had been sitting around for 5 years. We drove it back and they sorted without question and now that car is in the Crawley area as I dont have parking for it. It needs a new roof sharpish, I messaged Colin yesterday to ask who's good for roofs and he said - Me!! :)

I know its a long introduction but whats the point of just saying "Hello im Jack", lastly im going to see a W124 E500 tomorrow, if a deal can be done i'll turf the Porsche out the heated garage and then i'd say Im converted!

Welcome. About time you bought another bungalow

Welcome.......i see you are not married, thats what i understood from your intro

I am not married YET, had a couple of long ownerships but part x’d or got part x’d as the miles got high or in my case became unreliable, now got a nice little European low miler, temperamental though.

I can probably get away with this until a little one is on its way and then it will be questioned more seriously.

I looked at the E500 today. I think the 911 is staying a bit longer.
