I have an i980 unit which I am trying to update - downloaded the recent software from iCarsoft and initiated update > input the serial umber which it accepted but then it requests a password. Not had this before and iCarsoft are not responding to my calls - anyone had this and can help, please?

Think you might have downloaded the wrong updater. Try back tracking to an older version. Ive recently updated my mb2 v2 and the password pops up on the screen. Something my previous mb2 v1 didnt ask for.

I too had problems updating the software in my MBII icarsoft that I purchased off eBay. At first, I was worried I was sold a fake icarsoft unit. But after contacting icarsoft with the serial number, they came back with the correct URL for the version of my MBII icarsoft unit.
