Hello all, I was wondering if anyone has got an answer or idea about what to do about if the inside of the car ices up during cold nights. My car seems to be the only one in the parking lot that has ice on the inside of the windscreen during freezing nights.
If there is ice then there must be some moisture somewhere.
I checked the footwell and carpets but they are bone dry. The car has a panoramic roof but no leaks to be seen from there. I do think though that this kind of roof is not quite as good as a sun roof that consists of one piece instead of multiple strips.
Anyone got any ideas where I should start looking/investigating?

There will be a drip tray under the air con heat exchanger in the air con/heater assembly. It will have a couple of drain tubes leading to the car exterior. If they are blocked you will have a nice tray of condensate to evaporate thro the air ducts onto a cold windscreen.

Yes I am with grober on this problem, when you think about it thats the only source of moisture, after you have looked for leaks as you have.

How do I go about getting to that mentioned tray?
I haven't got a Haynes manual or similar for that car.
Is it as big a job as when I tried to get to the heater matrix on my old 124?

WHICH MODEL OF CAR ARE WE TALKING ABOUT?

grober, you wouldn't have a pic from the EPC of the drip tray too, please?

Unfortunately no- It may simply be part of the A/C air handler casing. If there are drain lines you may be able to see where they exit by removing the engine compartment undertray- if you can find them?? sometimes they can be cleared by "rodding" them with a suitable "flexible" gently from underneath depends on how/where they run?

Thanks for that. I'll have a look.
