I rediscovered this photo of when my car was new. Pre mods:crazy:

Look how high it sits and how big the gap to wheel arch is:eek:

If you are really bored you can list what mods you can see or tell are missing from this photo!

Not wishing to detract in any way at all what you have acheived with your car - it looks fantastic BTW - BUT - and its a big but - couldnt you for the amount of money you have lavished upon your car bought yourself a C63?
This is my bog-standard offering..........

Thing with modding is, it's not the end product that really matters, it's the adventure/journey taken to achieve what you want to do with your car that is the more appealing aspect.

Anyone can just go out and buy another car, but not everyone has the interest and stamina to mod theirs to their liking.

True I could but wheres the fun in that. I suppose I could mod backwards and make a C63 look like a C180:D Actually I once saw a genuine C32 that had be modded to look like a C180! It was even badged a C180.

I just like the fact your making it your own and the satisfaction that comes with it.

Absolutely right. I'd get so bored if I just had a car and "only" drove it.

Mind you, you have to wonder at the sanity of someone who blacks his engine covers and hoovers out the airbox.LOL

I can appreciate the "adventure/journey" aspects of the modification process, but on balance I'd still rather have the C63. ;)

The drivers seat is where the fun is Greg!

I know what you mean. But realistically you can drive like you are on the Top Gear runway all the time (well I can't anyway!) so you spend loads of time stuck in traffic, driving on cruise control and wasting Petrol in stop start stuff- so I reckon you might as well also enjoy not only the driving but the cleaning, maintainance and modding:D (Sad I know!)

Tell me; have you kept the boxes that your home TV and audio equipment came in? ;)

In advance- I apologise for swearing :D

There is a guy on Pistonheads from Bristol who has a BMW 328i but has badged it as a 316. Which I think's fairly funny, and good sport for the Max Power brigade:o

And as for blacking engine covers, Ahem  It has been known.. Under bonnet cleaning is an integral part of a proper clean!

I have been known to have a shiny under bonnet

Hello

Good on you for doing what you do, I would love to do more things to my ML but not knowing the elctrics side of things puts me off. I was quite impressed I managed the parking sensors.

OOh and nothing wrong with hovering the airbox

I have pollished the insides of my chrome pipes on a previous car :)

I agree, If I was to go out and buy a £130k CL65 AMG I would of course be over the moon, but a certain sumthing would be lost. The modding bug.

How can you mod a car that has everything?

Matt managed it .... ;)

That looks like a picture from Carlians. Is it?

Well spotted sir. It was one of the 4 photos used in the advert when I bought it. One of the things I must get around to doing - when I have accumulated enough money is to bring it over to you to fit a multichanger. I am fed up taking out the nav disk everytime I want to play a CD.
