So....... I'm loving the baby pretend AMG so much so I'm seriously concidering going big and official AMG. 2014-16 W212 E63s wagon.....

I'm hoping to stop the big commute and could be training it (can walk from the house) and as I WFH circa 1-2 days a week I have ample time to enjoy a family friendly drag car. (just waiting on a few jobs coming through [emoji1696][emoji1696][emoji1696][emoji1696][emoji1696]

Planned mods are minimal.
1. A tune circa 700bhp, just coz I can and to put the old man back in his box.
2. Pilot sport tyres, to keep it hopefully sort of under control
3. Android 10.25 screen upgrade to keep the gadget hungry inner child happy.

Thoughts??

There was a piece on TV the weekend where Valtteri Bottas had a pedal in an E63s around Silverstone. Looks like a hoot!

So I finally after joining here circa 4 years ago, have bought a Mercedes.

A W205 C250D PP Estate. Stunning car. Well happy......

Not sure of the full spec as yet, still trying to work out how it all works ... But the speakers are awesome!!!

I want to do a few modifications already.
1. Grill, thinking gloss black C63 grill.
2. Get the rear silver trim wrapped gloss black.
3. Bumper protector
4. Change the wheels for 19" or 20" turbines
5. Debadge model and add an AMG badge in the same place if paint is damaged.
6. And a remap....... Ecotune are estimating 240bhp and 550nm.

Yeah, I could get a similar result from an S8 /RS6 (and that's a smaller engine 4.0 vs 5.5) with the down pipes replaced but I'm loving the Mercs just now.

Read the post! Above the 700bhp I state I'm thinking of going for a proper AMG. E63s. I have been test driving a few fun cars, but I cannot look past the E63. Test driven, S8, S6 Avant, M6GC and even an X6M.

Driven a saloon E63, but if I'm going fir the upgrade been recommended to get the LSD or retro fit.

Yeah the C Class is a lovely car and I constantly get compliments about it. Hopefully it wont be hard to sell.

Yeah lovely the video of Doug Demuro racing an R8 and 911 on the drag strip and bettering them in his wagon.

So just to round off this thread, I did go AMG. But the brand new baby one. Wife got the family car (X5 40d 7 seater) Loving the AMG but definitely going V8 next time if at all possible.

The A35 is an awesome piece of kit. Economical whilst being a very agile and beautiful geek technical tour de force.




The C class I sold to a Mate down south who was looking for one after seeing mine. So he's delighted.
