believe it or not, Rice prices are going sky high... my uncle is an importer of fruit & veg (&rice) and is scraping together every last penny to pile up stocks!

And so is wheat.

It's all due to Worldwide shortages due to poor harvests due to....Err..Global Warming.
Add to that the economically developing populations are eating better foods then it creates massive shortages.

Apparently there is 2 months wheat available with harvests expected in 4 months.
The Austrailian harvest has been decimated by drought.

Ho, hum...why should we care...
