Indicator Stalk

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help, my indicator on my C220 Cdi 2004 wont stay on for either left or right, it does stay on when the wheel is is turned ie when I go around an island, does anyone have any ideas Thanks Alex.

Also does anyone know of any good salvage yards as I need to source a few bits and pieces

Perhaps the indicator canceling cam on the steering shaft has been mis aligned some how?

i would take the steering wheel off and see what direction the cam is facing when the wheel is in the straight position.

Should be a plastic ring held in by a snap ring on the shaft, if the snap ring is loose this could be your culprit.

do you have any steering shaft play? i.e. can you move the wheel up and down?

with regards to breakers, i use Dronsfields merc breakers. very good.
