Not sure I've ever noticed mine lighting up, but if it does and your's is not working, I suspect you need to replace the whole stalk.

Mines a 2016 C250d which I've had since new.. Checked today with headlights on, but the indicator stalk doesn't light up. Not sure it ever did unless it died a long time ago.
