Found this information on the USA site . For owners of above cars with engines M112 and M113 . Who have found water in the oil or viceversa . Most have pulled their engines apart to replace cylinder head gaskets . And after the jobs been done still find they still have coolant loss . The problem in first place is the O ring inside timing case cover see picture .This O ring seal rots away falls off and get taken into the cylinder block with presure of the coolant flow from the water pump . So after the heard gasket is replaced you still have a coolant leak than thats the reason . Not the head gasket but the rubber seal .So it might be the first port of call if you have the coolant in the oil ,before you lift the cylinder head.
