I'm having a problem linking my C3 multiplexer to any of my Mercedes cars. I'm getting the standard "Initialisation of diagnosis multiplexer failed" message with whichever car I'm linking to.
I've tried it on a car with the 38 pin plug and another with the 16 pin plug, and I'm getting the same message each time. I'm pretty sure its not the cars that are the problem as I can get a cheap HHT device to read codes.
I don't think it will be the RS232 cable that's faulty as this has never been a problem (famous last words). I suspect its some software setting that's got screwed up somehow. In the past the person I bought this from has always remotely linked to my laptop, changed a few settings and everything then works OK. Unfortunately, I really don't know what settings he changes and I'm unable to contact him anymore.
Any help anyone can give would be much appreciated.
