Can some give me, or post me a link to a step by step guide on replacing the injector seals+clamps etc on a ml270 (w163) please.

Also any special tops needed?

Thanks in advance

You need a special tool to remove, personally I wouldn't attempt myself would give it to trustworthy indy with good rep
What is the problem?

Lots if threads on this (black death), everyone seems to have their preferred removal solution. Some advise to use a seat cutter, some say not needed. It doesn't seem to be too bad a job until you get an injector that won't come out.

Main advice seems to be ensure the injectors and seats are very clean before putting them back in. Also, use new stretch bolts, clamps, seals and some ceramic grease.

Might take it to garage just wondering on what kinda price I'm looking at paying? If its around £250 to have it done then garage it will be if not ill do it myself.

Black Death on the one nearest window. But next one in has just started to leak so need that done also.

I've cleaned most of the black tar like stuff off but have more blast when I fix it hopefully Wednesday.

Went to mb today, the parts to change seals and clamps on all five was less than £14.

They also quoted £90 + vat per hour labour, they reckon 2 hours max,

Which I thought wasn't that bad seeing as its mb.
