Hi Everyone

iv been having alot of stress and headache because of my car for a month now.

Got all injectors recondtioned for £500 at halls who first said they all failed then once fixing they all passed. car was still the same after putting back the injectors.

i took the car to a friend with a star reader (he works at mercedes)
and found out that injector number 3 is showing +5 whereas it should be showing -5. i took injector number 3 out because i had 1 year warranty on them.

i took them back and the guy tells me their fine, printed the test results, on the side of the results its all pass pass pass with numbers that dont mean anything to me but on the overall test result he crossed it out with a thick marker pen but you could clearly see it said fail and he said they all say its failed on all the papers and all injectors and failed doesnt mean anything. so i asked for the old papers where he said they all failed and on that paper it said again overall fail but on the side it was pass pass pass on all of them.

so if the injector number 3 passed the test today, why was i told it failed the first time when all the numbers and all the results are the same?

Good question. Did you ask them?

once i asked for the first results the guy just put the papers on the table and walked off without saying a word

When my vehicle was on STAR, it had the readout of each injector then the following

If the quantity correction value of a cylinder reaches a value of + 5mm^3/Hub, the injector of this cylinder should be replaced.

So your Mercedes friend is correct and your injector refurb agent needs to answer your questions and stop fobbing you off.

Either it passes or fails, can't be both

what does this tell you? http://i.imgur.com/qoz6pjz.jpg can you please advice me on this? i am trying to get trading standards on this but they are only telling me to send a letter requesting my money back. the manager of the place told me "I tell you what your not going to do, your not going to convince me that the injectors are faulty.

oh and thats exactly what it says on my print out as well "If the quantity correction value of a cylinder reaches a value of + 5mm^3/Hub, the injector of this cylinder should be replaced"

Go to another diesel specialist and ask them, then go back to the original one and ask them to explain.
