Hello all,

I am collecting my new c - class coupe on Sunday and have taken advantage of the 7 day free 'First Cover' - however, when I entered the car reg details onto a insurance comparison site,it came up about £90.00 cheaper than my current insurance - so am I better off cancelling my current policy and re-insuring with the new quote and new provider - as my current one may wish to charge for amending the policy to the new car ?

Despite going from a £2k value CLK230 with less than 200 horses under the bonnet to a £45k car sporting over 300 horses, my insurance DROPPED quite a lot. I'm not complaining, just puzzled.
