You could try Lancaster. I just paid £177 for my 1990 230E, with cover pretty much as you described.

I'm with them too. As the 190 is a second car, I had no no-claims allowance but premium still only came out at £220.

I do Direct-Line, find them very good. I pay £270.00 Full Comp/Breakdown Cover. Plus as an extra bonus I get breakdown cover for myself even if I'm not in my own car. Quite nice I thought. :)

500sl, £279 fully comp, 5000 miles per year.:)

With an agreed value.

I`ve got insurance with Lancaster again.....

I was with them peviously, and paid about £120 last year, but let my renewal expire (car doesn`t get used much)with the quote of 130 for this year......

Phoned them and they quoted £202:mad:

Went through confused.com and Lancaster were the best again, but had to pay £156.That`ll teach me to dilly-dally on the renewal....

Am i paying the least premiums on the forum?????:)

Whatever you do, don't use Direct Line if you think you might ever want to make a claim. Quite cheap but absolutely attrocious service and completely clueless about anything that is not strictly run of the mill. The service and payout I got when my E320 coupe was written off was abysmal. The case is currently with the financial services ombusman. Be warned!

Cheers,

Rod.
