What's the deal with the 450? Is it one of the aluminium engines?

I really like the colour combo. And I'm very tempted

the ones with aluminium engines are the mercedes 450 sl 5.0, pre crusor to 500 sl/slc and 380 sl/slc both of which have the first aluminium engines

One of the last 450's if it's 1980.

Much older iron block engine - 222BHP @ 5000 and 265ibft @ 3250. Horrendous MPG - think low teens.

If it is rust free (and somehow I doubt this if the rear arches are rusty!) and you can hear it cranking or better running, then it's cheap enough. If the bumpers are rust free they're worth £500 each so might even be worth breaking.

Oh, and I didn't see any evidence of history? If so ignore the mileage.

Edited - just spotted the seats, completely ignore the mileage, it's done much more than that!! And that rust is coming through bodge.
