Hi guys I’m getting an intermittent loss of power, it’s happened twice now each time the car was driving completely normal for a motorway drive and when I left the motorway the acceleration seemed under powered even putting the foot down made little difference. It could reach speed slowly but struggled with acceleration almost like it was in limp. No lights or fault messages on the dashboard. Stopping the car and restarting it makes the problem go away. I ignored the first incidence a week ago as a possible temporary glitch but it’s happened again. Any ideas?

Sounds a bit like an automatic gearbox fault. The TCU can go into fault mode which puts it into limp with no lights oddly. Codes are stored though that can be read with star.

There is a whooshing hissing sort of sound too so I’m wondering if it’s possible that it’s a split air inlet pipe…

Just to confirm that it was the intercooler pipe and all is fine now.
