Internet Explorer 8 ?

Having now used Chrome for a few months I would not revert back to Explorer.I find using the " Omnibox " very useful for quick searches. Load it up and give it a try for a few weeks, it will import all your Explorer favourites so there is nothing to lose.

I tried installing Opera yesterday on this notebook. Scrolling much faster than IE8, but snags with the consistency of rendering of pages (iplayer was occasionally a column filling a quarter of the screen in the centre).
Took a look through advanced options in IE8 and turned off soft scrolling. The result; 9,000,300,057 times better on the scrolling front which has been my main gripe about IE8 on the Atom processor.

On the strength of comments here I may give Chrome a go if all the display snags have been fixed.....

I'd give it a go I've had no problems so far. :thumb:

Don't think there is a good one between the lot of them, I chop and change between IE8, Chrome and Firefox depending on what I'm doing on the net as some are better than others at certain things but never had a problem with IE8

I do exactly the same. quite like chrome for its speed, but still mostly use ie 8

Thanks for all your replies, on the basis that you guys have pointed out that i could later change it, i'v just accepted ie8.

It's by Motorhead. ;)

Firefox here... but I do some web development and the add ons/tools available for firefox means its no contest.. I suspect chrome will start to have these add ons as it develops..

No way would I go back to IE whatever version.. bloatware at its worst..
