Just a quick hello from a new member.

I've just bought a 1990 300TD which seems pretty solid. I think I paid over the top, but it was the cleanest one I've seen and it sounded very quiet and sturdy.

I've had a good look round the forum - it seems a really useful and helpful place - thanks to everyone who makes that possible.

I paid £3000 for her. What do you think?

I had it serviced immediately by Parkway merc Spec in Bristol and spent about £1000 tweaking things (all new brakes, new pulley tensioner, a couple of new cooling pipes). I then spent a bit getting the inside valetted and I've just had the aircon sorted.:bannana:

All in all, I spent far too much, but hopefully it should keep her going for another 100k without too many problems.
