since getting the 3g iphone ive been playing around with the free apps available,what apps do other iphone users use or recommend on the forum.

Sudoku free, what it says
Skype.. handy when I am abroad with wifi

I do tend to swap and change most of my apps, but these are the main ones I use that are free

Anyone had the annoying 'no sound'/headset problem yet? Happened to mine a couple of times, really irritating!

I have downloaded quite a few now and discarded most! I am including some non-free apps because lets face it, if its really good do you really mind paying 59p-1.99 for it?

Blocked - Fantastically addictive puzzler easy to dip in and out of in seconds.

WordFu - Word game which is like a combination of Countdown and Kung-fu! every game takes no more than a minute to play.

Last.fm - great for introducing you to new music.

ITN news - Best news program; BBC one is too slow.

iPlanner - Year to view Planner.

Night stand - Great alarm clock.

Things - Very good To-do list.

Air sharing - Store and view all your important documents and manuals.

Arghh - 'no sound' problem returned today. Very brief google hasn't positively confirmed the cause of the fault - I'm not so sure it's hardware as sometimes totally clears with nothing more than a reset. Other times, takes several minutes of on/off, sounds up/down etc etc - no real pattern just yet. Just says 'ringer (headphones)' when you adjust the volume - so it thinks the headphones are present (or software gets stuck thinking it has)

I've cleaned it out carefully and given it a blast with compressed air, still does it every day or two. Might have to pop into Apple/CPW etc if it persists

Worth knowing if so- I'll need to pop past one when I have a chance.
