Anybody had any issues connecting their IPhone to their car via the media interface cable since updating to IOS 7?

Since updating the IOS last night, the media interface will not connect to the phone for music playback. (W204 C63 2013).

Any others/solutions?

TIA

Haven't tried to connect to the car yet but I can say I've had problems with the update effecting some of the apps on my phone. That is as well as making the home screen on my phone look crap with its new simplified icons and change of colours. I don't know what anything is anymore lol.

I don't like the new update at all! The last update was much better! I'm still confused how to stop apps running to save battery life!

Sent from my iPhone using MBClub UK

Mine connects OK, but once you select a track or album to play, you're stuck with that track/album and can't select another unless you disconnect/connect the cable.

The track listing displays all the music I've ever bought from iTunes, even the 100s of tracks I've deleted, but I can't play it because it's not on the device.

Do I have to update? I'm more than happy with the way my iPhone interacts with the car.

It's the first time I've not had aftermarket bluetooth handsfree, and it's by far the best I've had - a case now of if it ain't broke, don't fix it!!

No it's your choice.

Do you guys use the Internet in the car? Does the iPhone power it? What does it do

The iPhone will not connect with COMMAND online. It's a known, and annoying, limitation.

My iPhone 5 connects over bluetooth if I switch on 'personal hotspot' - haven't had a chance to have a proper look at the MB apps yet.

The Bluetooth has nothing to do with Personal Hotspot. You should just be pairing via Bluetooth. Personal Hotspot allows other devices to connect to your phone via wifi and use the data connection in your phone - much too clever for Comand!!

That's what I thought - it would allow wifi connection. However, if the personal hotspot is off then Comand is unable to use my iPhone 5 for bluetooth data. 'personal hotspot' on and Comand can.

Without sounding stupid what actually are you able to do when connected to the internet by command and i assume you have to be stationary

You do need to be stationary - i've only got as far as setting up a username before getting bored and wanting to go for a drive! maybe will explore the apps more when the novelty has worn off (in a few years.....)
