Hello all. I have installed an ntg 2.5 sat nav unit into my 2010 b class,The one with the sd slot and built in cd changer. What do I need to play my music from my phone? I have an aux port but can't control the music from the steering wheel if I use a Bluetooth adaptor on this. So many interfaces for sale I don't know what I need. Does anyone know how or have any suggestions. Cheers all.

I have installed the command unit but now the aux isn't working? im not wanting to use it long term I want an ipod interface but Im worried as to why its not working? Any ideas people?

What “command” unit have you installed?

Didn't Alfie reply that you need to purchase and install the iPod Interface? This will allow you to listen to the music from your iPhone and manage the songs from the COMAND controls.

You can also use a cheapo FM transmitter is you want a basic solution.

Google "Belkin TuneCast" and look for the model that has the right phone connector.

So I had aux before I installed the comand now I've installed comand aux isn't working. So I need iPod interface to make my aux work again. Doesn't make any sense.

why did you put such a

why did you put such a rubbish outdated system in?

has it been coded properly?
I'm confused, rubbish system? I replaced a single cd player with sat nav and potential for reverse camera installation and ipod interface, what are the other Mercedes options for a 2011 B class W245. When you say coded, coded for what? it has ipod interface and aux on the audio menu but I'm still hunting for the ipod interface kit i need.

The link above, from one of the best MB audio specialists, tells you what you need...

which you have acknowledged.

there are much better systems than 2.5 for a 2010/11 model ..

You haven't answered why the system is outdated and rubbish. If the system is so outdated and rubbish why is it over £300 far an interface and wire harness??? the link doesn't tell you what you need its an advert for a company product, i'm not willing to part with that kind of cash for a nearly 10 year old car. I'm trying to find a second hand one but because there's no info available on part numbers or what you need its difficult to know what your looking for. Before I get a reply with grief I mean no disrespect to the company I am simply trying to work to a budget.

I don't know why the aux port isn't working on the NTG2.5 unit. It may a configuration issue from the Engineering Menu (aka 'Secret Menu'), or the aux port may be faulty.

ok thankyou I will look into config because the port has always worked fine up until I changed the headunit.

When you say 'aux port'... are you taking about the actual port at the back of the HU? Or about a port in the glove compartment (or elsewhere in the car)?

yes theres an aux port in the glovebox.looks factory fitted was there when I purchased the car. with the new HU there is an empty port which I believe is audio in/out and video.is this where the interface kit will connect?ive seen so many different interface ipod kits its very confusing.im just worried that if I purchase a kit it wont work because the aux isn't working?

How did you you connect your new (used?) hu to the existing aux socket?
