The centre console cubby that you can see is open is broken I'll wager.

It's a £250 fix , requiring the back seat squabs to be removed , along with the centre rear storage boxes , transmission tunnel cover , armrest , gear lever surround , part of the centre console and the comand.

One cold dark morning, very tired , I tried to get my electric gate blipper out of mine to find that a set of keys had caught in the mechanism and it was jammed.

While using a little too much force , the ratchet mechanism gave way , the cubby opened but wouldn't shut again.

Spoke to Mark at Comand in light water ( a friend , and the best in the business for taking interiors apart ) who said no worries , I'll order the new bit , pop down and the techs will fit it while we have a cup of tea.

I pop down the next week , and they were as surprised as I was to find that WIS quotes 2 hours+ to change the lid piece ! They did it a bit quicker but not much !

A million hidden bolts and clips and you have to start at the back of the car and work forwards, until you get to a point , then you have to start at the front and work back

The mistake you made is that you think it is a badly modified CLS when clearly the owner states is a CL with ANG wheel caps.

Lazy bugger didn't wrap the rear sliding covers either. At least this confirms I made the right decision to go for graphite carbon not the black
