Had a review shoot done recently with Luke of Hampshire Photography.
Was a fun hour of shooting....

Video now out on You tube.... Luke's done a good job editting and highlighting the main feature of the W204 C63, ie the theatrics and the sound!

Hope you all enjoy the short clip!

I watched this before seeing this post glad to see it’s a fellow MBClub owner car 🙌🏽

Can you drive that fast in UK with all speedcams everywhere?

Fabulous car (says a very green eyed monster!). I could watch and re-watch with my eyes closed. Aside from a Aussie V8 Supercar full race Holden/Falcon/Mustang, one of the most sublime sounds I've heard in a long time!

@noogieman
Of course you can Grandad! Any decent satnav has the static and potential mobile speed camera's positions and we all know roads that are quiet, lightly policed and free from cameras. 38 years riding fast bikes....only ever got three speeding points...41 in a 30 in 1985! And of course you don't drive like that all the time if you want to stay alive!

I had a Holden Monaro here in the UK. Well, sort of. It had a V6 engine rather than a V8. And 4 doors rather then 2. Oh, and instead of the Holden Monaro badge, it had a badge that said Vauxhall Omega...

Still grinning at the downshifts. Great video; thanks for sharing.

I had 3 of those , all estates 2 x Elite (one V6 2.5 the other straight 6 BMW diesel) , the last one dire 2.2 diesel POS . Massively underrated cars.

I had two V6 Omegas, one a 1997 2.5L petrol, the other a 2001 2.6L petrol. Amazing cars, I would have bought a third one if they didn't stop making them... and so I bought the W203 instead and the rest is history :D

The BMW straight-6 Diesel engine was detuned and underpowered (from memory, this was because the standard European GM automatic transmission at the time could not handle high torque engines, and even so the engine chewed through the transmission and they had a high failure rate). The 4-Cyl Diesel wasn't GM's 'finest hour', I had the same engine in a rental and it was rough slow and noisy.

As for trim... I did dream of having an Elite at the time (and almost bought one, but didn't...), the second one was a CDX which as close as I ever managed to get to the Elite....

My BMW engined Omega Elite was a manual , a mate of mine in the trade at the time said he had never seen a manual one. It was odd , top of the range Elite with all the possible extras in it then fitted with a manual gearbox . It was a great car. Stupid change of company car policy forced me to sell it

It was detuned but I was told it was because BMW would only supply the engine in a lower power output to it's own BMW models because in Germany the Opel Omega was a real threat to the BMW 5 in sales . The Germans knew it was a good car and without the 'curse' of the Vauxhall badge it was a real contender. It's Cadillac cetera in the USA , came with chrome wheels 😲.

I heard the 2.2 was a hastily reworked van engine dropped in to keep company accountants happy, it felt like it , it was dire and spoiled a decent car.

I can believe that!

How on earth does a Honda get second position? 😱
Sad that you need to ask that.
Not experienced the K20A, but owned an S2000 with the F20C which also revved to 9k, and keeping it on cam in the power band was a joy. 240bhp from a NA 2ltr 4 pot is proper engineering.
Oh, and it had zero issues in the 6 years that I owned it.
