Jee Whizz - It's like war and peace!

Are you sure you've not confused them with someone else Jay. There advert says:

We have built up an enviable reputation for quality, commitment and customer satisfaction.

i wish I had a picture.... they look as if they have been set free from the nearby Twycross Zoo...
I would walk the other way if encountered in a dark place!

Theres about 6-8 of them.. they all go around wearing black and yellow t-shirts branded R&W, apart from the boss who I supposed has to look a little more humane.

Im just trying to verify but im sure that SL55 had way more than 31K on the clock too.

love this from their website... completely illegal

Our prices are tailored to fit all pocket sizes as our vehicles are priced excluding the RAC warranty for those of our customers who are on a fixed budget (this being a "trade price")

Who on earth would consider buying that thing with so many apparent `issues` with it?,and i only read half-way through the listing before appoplexy set in....

depends how cheap it is:D

Just by the by, isn't it really difficult to clock a modern(ish) Merc? I thought it can only be done with a STAR machine and even then you have to recode the EIS or the car wont start (as the two check each other's milage reading to verify that they both match up.)

That's what the MB tech told me anyway, when I had my cluster changed.

Sorry to be a bit thick but what are these?

Men in vans who come around and correct milage.

For example if your cluster croaks, you get one in to put the correct milage on the new cluster.

OK but these guys are gonna be in some kind of underworld sector, right?
I mean, you're not gonna find them in the yellow pages. ;)

Unbelievable.
Surely that is completely illegal unless done by an authourised body acting on behalf of the manufacturer? (I.e. a Dealership.) Or am I missing something here?

It's correction, not clocking.

Honest...

The digital dashes have made it easier to do.

And they're not breaking any laws in doing this? Must admit I'm suprised.

I wonder how many people call these kind of companies in and offer a bung to 'correct' the miles by about 30k etc?

Reading the HPI report i'm struggling to uderstand what the "Condition Alert" section on page two means. It says it's a 500 SL AU...what's that all about? And it also states it was a CAT-C right off??

The number plate was attached to another car, which was written off. it has since been trasferred to this car.
