Slightly "off topic" but I would like some advice
I want to clean my engine bays (not on the SL) on the daily drivers which are filthy with grease, diesel oil, dirt, grime and lots of other unmentionables.

Do I use Jizer (is it still available??) or an APC to clean the muck off, my theory is to spray on cleaner, leave or agitate with a brush and then rinse off with the Karcher on ½ power (this will be stronger than just using a hose but not too powerful to affect the electrics.
Should I then spray a water dispersant on or just blow dry (or will that blow the water into the electrics?)
Then should I treat the whole bay with a finishing spray??

I am NOT looking for a concours finish, just a bit of a clean up

TIA

I used APC on my engine clean . However I would first use up any degreasant that I had in the garage first .

Surfex HD is excellent stuff for the engine bay and a variety of other uses.

I had a tin of Jizer last year i used in the workshop i think they have changed the formulation over the years whatever was in that made it good i don't think is there anymore unless i'm remembering it being better than it was.
