I like this but is it me or is the boot either not closed properly or maybe doesn't close properly? The light clusters aren't aligned.

Yep, had a tap up the rear by the look of it. Lets face it, there are few second hand cars around that haven't had some paintwork at some point.

It never ceases to amaze me how shoddy some of the repairs are though...

That's pretty normal for a W210, especially if it's had a new boot seal. It can be adjusted but that then means slamming the boot a bit hard.

May I just say. 210, Scotland - Hard Winters. Suspension perches and front springs. Looks suspiciously clean to me. Peel them rubbers back on the doors if you go looking!

As you say in your sig block. In God we trust - All 210's are suspect!! Or something like that.

I thought the later 210s were a little better than the earlier ones for rust?

Yes the boot does look out, it could have been resprayed if its had a rusty boot lock

I Hate to tell you , but the central belt prob gets the same if not better winters than where you are
