Would not want to try and park it but BOY OH BOY would I love to arrive in it!

What a grand looking car. Very nice, no wonder you miss it.

love these, reminds me of the scene in Die Hard 3 when Bruce Willis punts one through the walls of a flyover and it continues going.

Very nice indeed :) I bet you dont miss the fuel consumption though

Lovely machine always had a soft spot for these motors ...however... wouldnt like to pay for a cylinder head job !!!!

Thanks......

Thanks for all the lovely comments. 1990 by the way. I know you wont believe this, but it wasn't much worse than my 300ce is now. But the power was awesome, the ASR would kick in under the slightest provocation in the rain. I tell you sometimes I wish I could have switched it off when it was dry. I don't know, it just seemed more impresive because of the sheer size of the thing.

The most common thing that used to happen was, I would be merrily cruising down the motorway, you know, doing around 70, and you would inadvertantly overtake a sports car, even Mercs on occasion. Obviously they didn't like this and wouldn't be outdown by an old car, next thing you know, they would be in the outside lane wanting to show whos boss, 'HUH' I tell you, they would be doing maybe 15/20 more than you in the outside lane, I would be waiting for them, they never got past me. ;)

I know I shouldn't, but it made me chuckle, plus the wry smile I gave them as I let them pass not very long after. Most of the time they wouldn't even dare a glance !

Sold it to someone from Norwich, a dealer I believe. The ECU's were playing up and I couldn't get anyone to seriously consider fixing it.

I sold it for a song, I did tell the buyer about the problem. It ran fine, but if it didn't start first time, forget it, it would flood 'Big Time'

Believe it or not, Madonna used to use it when she was over here in the early 90's.

It was a shame because everything worked except the rear blind. And boy, did it go!!!
