Odd how slow the lapt time of the Lotus Exige S was. Must have been a circuit with a high top speed I guess.

Very negligable. A gnat landing on the bonnet of the C63 could have caused that difference!

There's clearly only one German phrase you need to know: Ah Em Geh (at around 4:00 in the video).

Just don't try telling anyone from Louisiana what type of car you have... :eek:

Having driven both a C63 and an SLK55 I think I know which is the quicker in point to point terms.. I think the SLK would come second.

I'm pleased to see the SLK hold its own in a back to back comparison though.. :)

I find those times very hard to accept...and not because I'm a C63 owner as I know from experience that it doesn't exactly make an ideal track car!

I find it to hard to believe how it could be quicker than...the M3! Indeed, the C63 shouldn't be beating an M3's time unless it really is a track with some very long straights which it doesn't look like it is.

And then theres the Exige time which has already been mentioned....No, this is just all wrong. :confused:

Well if you think about it, when the C63 was compared to the M3 on UK car shows it was always vs the M3 coupe. In this video its the M3 Limo (saloon), so i find those figures quite believable.

The M3 coupe didnt beat the C63 by a great deal on the top gear track as far as i remember either....
 
Just to upset you SLK owners....they are ladies cars....
 
have experience with both an m3 and c 63. point to point an m3 would beat a c class without a doubt.

Rubbish. C63 has more power and will easily beat an M3 from one point to another. Hell, a C55 does that. you only have to watch the youtube videos to see it.

Now around a track the result might well be reversed. However we dont drive around a track on a daily basis.
