CLK 220
Hello all,

Long time lurker, first time poster

I have a few Mercedes over the years but a few months back I got my self a 2005 CLK220 to use for work, and after a flat battery last Friday (and new one fitted) I had some serious issues

NSF head lamp out
Brake lights stuck on
Stuck in sports mode
Stuck in first gear
Air bag lights on
ABS lights on
No speedo
No fuel read out
Side lights working as and when they felt like, even when switched off
Traction and ESP working when it felt like it
Low fluid warnings for most levels...

All of these came in over a matter hours, fearing the worse I limped home and starting reading up and ringing around to find a fix.

I got quoted some silly money, but after reading a few threads on here I was convinced it was my front SAM unit that had failed.

I was able to pick up a recon unit for a fair price from a local specialist (but unfortunately could not fit me
in at the time) and fitted it my self in his car park... all the faults went away.

If it was not for the massive wealth of knowledge on this forum I could of been done like a kipper but some of the less knowledgeable or moral places I rang.

Thank you
